BS Islamic Studies is offered at Al-Kawthar not as an academic course only, but as a life changing experience.

Wherever in the world education is a high priority, the teachers are not only knowledgeable in their respective areas of expertise, but also are they trained in the modern techniques and methods of delivering education.

Arabic is one of the oldest and richest languages of the world. For Muslims, it bears a special importance as it is the language of the divine communication. To understand the Holy Quran first hand, a complete grip over the language is imperative.

The study of the human mind may be the most enigmatic path to follow. Much has been researched; much is still to be explored.

Admission Process

Application & Selection Process

  • The advertisement for Admission will be published at the start of every semester.
  • Candidates will apply for admissions by submitting dully filled hardcopy/online form of Admission application along with all desired documents.
  • The documents for eligibility can be emailed at admissions@Alkawthar.pk.
  • Admission office will verify the eligibility of candidates and issue admit cards for assessment test.
  • Candidates will be invited for on-campus assessment and Interviews with the relative faculty / Interview panel.
  • If social distancing from Government will be implemented, the assessment may be conducted online.
  • Merit list of successful candidates will be announced after completion of assessment process.
  • Admission assessment will include MCQs, Essay writing section and interview with the nominated panel.
  • No fee will be charged for assessment test.
  • The finance department will issue fee-vouchers to successful applicants.
  • Admission Offer letter will be issued by Admission Office.
  • Successful candidates will also be informed through website, SMS alert and email.
  • The admission shall be canceled as under:
    • If the student fails to submit the results before the deadline.
    • If the student fails to fulfil eligibility requirements (percentages) as required for the admission in the program in which he/she was admitted.
  • Applicants having “A” levels or other foreign qualifications must provide an equivalence certificate issued by Intermediate Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).

Fee Structure

Financial Assistance

Al-Kawthar University offers financial assistance to the rightful students.Financial Assistance will be determined by the Financial Assistance Committee as per the Financial Assistance Policy.

  • The process of Financial Assistance shall commence only after a student has been granted admission to the Islamic Scholar program or the Undergraduate Programs.
  • The FORM for financial assistance is available with the STUDENT AFFAIRS department in which required information is to be filled.
  • The FA form must be submitted to the Student Affairs 2 weeks before the last date of fee submission.
  • The Financial Assistance committee will consider each case, depending on the information provided through the form.
  • The FAC may interview the applicants’ parents/guardian.
  • After its deliberation, the FAC, through Student Affairs, will communicate to the students about its decision regarding the approval and amount of the assistance.
  • Financial assistance cases will be settled on one academic session basis. If required, financial assistance for the next academic session will have to be applied for anew.
  • The decision of the FAC will be final.

Scholarships & Discounts

Al-Kawthar University offers Merit based scholarships to the deserving students.Determination of merit for scholarship to be awarded by the Admission Committee at the time of admission.Scholarship will be determined as per following weightage criteria;

  • Scholarships after completing first academic semester will be based on percentage and CGPA. earned.
  • No limit on the maximum number of scholarships.

Exemption and Transfer of Credits

Transfer candidates with credits from other Universities

  • Eligible candidates, who are already studying in a degree program in another University, may apply for admission to any degree program of Al-Kawthar University with transfer of previous University’s course credits. This policy is also applicable to the students who were studying in another degree program of Al-Kawthar University and were withdrawn from that Program for any reason.
  • The interested candidates will have to appear for an on campus/online interview and submit original transcript of the courses, course contents and NOC from the previous institution.
  • Al-Kawthar University’s Equivalence Committee shall determine equivalence of the courses whether to be accepted, for transfer of credits, or not.
  • All such candidates are required to complete a minimum of 50% of total degree credits from Al-Kawthar University. The courses transferred shall be recorded in the final transcript as being transferred credits. The transferred course(s) and their grades will not be used for calculation of CGPA in the Al-Kawthar’s transcript. However, these credits will be counted as the total Credit hour required to complete the degree Program.
  • All candidates desirous for transfer of credits, must fulfill the eligibility criteria of Al-Kawthar University.
  • Scholarships will be awarded to such credit transfer cases who will appear in on campus/online assessment and fall within the scholarship criteria.
  • The University, may consider on case-to-case basis, waiving off assessment process for some candidates, on recommendation of the committee and approval by the Vice-chancellor. No scholarship will be awarded to such applicants.
  • The University reserves the right to select or reject any candidates. For details, please refer to Al-Kawthar’s Exemption and Transfer of Credits Policy.
